🌍 New international cooperation
IBZ Schloss Gimborn and the GS-Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a future cooperation in the field of international police and security training.
The meeting at IBZ Schloss Gimborn
brought together representatives of both organisations, including Michael Schemke and Stefan Schwarz for the GS-Foundation, as well as Jürgen Mathies, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IBZ Schloss Gimborn, together with René Kauffmann and Ulrike Neuhoff representing IBZ Schloss Gimborn.
Both organisations share the common goal of promoting international cooperation, professional training formats and the exchange of expertise between law enforcement and security professionals worldwide.
The GS-Foundation is internationally engaged in the field of Security Sector Reform and supports partner countries in strengthening effective, democratic and rule-of-law-based security structures.
As the educational institution of the International Police Association (IPA), IBZ Schloss Gimborn e. V. contributes its longstanding experience as an international training and education centre for law enforcement and security agencies. For more than five decades, IBZ has stood for international exchange, practice-oriented training and professional dialogue between participants from around the world.
A first joint international leadership training with delegations from Chile is already planned for August 2026 at IBZ Schloss Gimborn as part of a trilateral police project involving Colombia and Chile.
The cooperation marks the beginning of future joint training initiatives and international professional exchange.
